As I sit here eating my bowl of grapes, I thought i would share the health and beauty benefits of grapes, grapes are a fruit which are loved by every person who I have come across, well how can you not love grapes, grapes are available in many variants, for e.g there are green grapes, red grapes, black grapes, golden grapes, white grapes, most commonly available are red grapes, black grapes and green grapes, grapes are available all year around and are known as one of the most common fruits available in every supermarket.

grapes are full of health benefits, grapes have the ability to control blood sugar, treat constipation as they are full of fibre, heal the digestive tract, treat kidney disorders, keep your body energized, grapes help prevent cataract, improve brain function, improve cardiac health, prevent cancer, help you lose weight, protect against inflammation and infections, boost immunity, grapes also help in maintaining good eyesight and better vision and help maintain healthy and youthful skin, grapes are an excellent source of micronutrients as in manganese, copper and iron, all which are important to strengthen the bones, grapes are also known to prevent migraines, grapes also have a large number of flavonoids which give grapes their colour and make them a great source of antioxidants.

There are many beauty benefits of grapes, grapes are a great source of vitamin C which is known in the reduction of wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots so they will help in controlling the signs of premature aging, vitamin C present in the grapes promotes collagen which is responsible for the growth of new cells and tissues making your skin appear more radiant and bright, grapes are also effective for treating sunburn and protecting the skin from the harmful effects of the UV rays as grapes are a rich source of antioxidants, grapes can also help with acne as they contain zinc, zinc is a mineral which is known To stop acne by restraining the immune system, zinc is a key component of retinol which transports vitamin A around the bloodstream to the receptors in the skin, zinc is also known for healing wounds, grapes contain B vitamins, vitamin B is another vital vitamin for your skin, hair and nails, vitamin B helps heal a damaged complexion when you apply it topically and take it internally, vitamin A present in the grapes will give you a radiant glow, strengthen the effect of the skins outer layer so your skin can stay looking firm, helping prevent further breakouts.
How to use grapes for skin
Their are many ways you can use grapes for your skin I will share a few
- I use black grapes use any you have available, take a few grapes mash them up take the juice and apply to your skin for 10 min, then wash it off, you can do this everyday if you like you skin will become more radiant and firm,
- add grapes in a bowl mash them up so you have the juice add 1 tsp of fullers earth (multani mitti) make it into a paste, apply on your skin for 15 min you can use this once a week, if you have oily skin you can use it twice a week.
- add grapes in a bowl mash them up add honey and liquorice powder make it into a paste apply on your face, neck, hands and any other part of your body, for 10-15 you will notice Your complexion will get lighter and lighter day by day.
Grapes for hair
Consuming grapes on a daily basis will help your hair grow healthy long and thick, the natural antioxidants present in the grapes increase the circulation of blood and encourage the growth of your hair, inside the grapes their are seeds from which the oil is extracted, which is grapeseed oil, grapeseed oil is light and non greasy and it does not leave any residue on your scalp, grapeseed oil is very effective in controlling dandruff, removing dry skin flakes and moisturising the scalp, grapeseed oil prevents hair loss which is a common condition in many people, grapeseed oil is also known to treat brittle hair and split ends.
I went on from talking about grapes to grapeseed oil as I don’t recommend anyone to rub grape juice on the scalp, well I have never tried it, grapeseed oil is extracted from the seeds of the grapes so it is part of the benefits of the grapes. So massaging the scalp with grapeseed oil, applying grape juice topically, and making sure you are consuming some grapes everyday will give you the full benefits of the grapes.
